Old City Cemetery is delighted to present A Few Steps Shy of Heaven, an evening of short plays to be performed on the arboretum grounds.  Sponsored through the generosity of Pat Hutto and the Ploughcroft Tea Room, all proceeds from this theatrical fundraiser will go to benefit the continued conservation of Old City Cemetery.  The series of historically inspired one-acts is authored by local playwright Claire Wittman, and directed by five gifted artists from the Lynchburg theatre community.  The five pieces, which range from ten to twenty minutes in length, will be performed in repertory throughout the evening, allowing audiences to explore the arboretum and see the performances in an order of their choosing.

Those with mobility concerns, please take note:  Since the five pieces take place at various locations in the Arboretum, comfortable shoes and walking from site to site are necessary.
